Signature

He was initially from the first three phases of SP!CA, and served as the former leader and center, however, the previous SP!CA formations never got to debut. Azusa is a guy full of charms. He always looks over the members with a gentle smile. His parents run a well-established Japanese-style confectionery shop; because of this he is very knowledgeable about the Japanese culture and has a habit of speaking out his thoughts. Because of his previous experiences, he seems hesitant to move forward.

Appearance

Azusa appears as an elegant and handsome young man with deep purple hair that is usually tied in a ponytail with long bangs hanging on the right side, golden-yellow eyes and he has a beauty mark on the left side of his mouth.

Personality

Because of his upbringing - raised in a traditional family, Azusa is very gentle and careful in choosing his words. However, because of this same reason, Azusa was often called as an old man. He tends to speak out his thoughts using Senryuus.

Background

Azusa is worried about his future because he was supposed to inherit his family's wagashi shop business but later taken over by his older sister and her husband. An acquaintance of his then recommended that he tried out an audition. He was the leader and center for the first three phases of SP!CA, that never gets to debut due to the constant member changes.

Relationships

• Mitsuki Kuze - Calls Mitsuki as a cute junior, and sometimes he thinks Mitsuki is too dazzling for him. He is very worried about Mitsuki's insecurity after the center position was given to him, and later supported him.
• Samon Nishikido - Deems Samon as a key person of SP!CA along with Mitsuki. He envies Samon for having ambitions.
• Hiro Igarashi - Also calls Hiro his cute junior, and says that his youthfulness is Hiro's charm.
• Takumi Kurumizawa - Has a mutual understanding with Takumi and is comfortable around him. Somehow thinks of Takumi as the person who watches over himself.

Etymology

• The name Azusa means "catalpa" (梓).
• Azusa's surname Konno means "navy blue" (紺) (kon) and "field, wilderness" (野) (no).

Trivia

• Azusa's character-specific color is a dark purple with the hex code #703ea7.
• The reason why Azusa became an idol is because an acquaintance of his recommended him to apply for a model audition. He then won the Grand Prix and was contacted by several agencies, but ended up joining Dear Production.
• Due to his upbringing, Azusa acts like an old man.
• Azusa loves Senryuus.
• Azusa's best subject is Classic Literature while he is bad at Informatics because he can't use a computer and wonders how people can type while not looking at the keyboard.
• Azusa once mistook facial cleanser for toothpaste.
