Zen has overwhelming confidence in himself as an idol but he has no basic knowledge on how to be an idol. He is sociable and has a lot of friends. Zen can never leave troubled people behind. At school, he was the ace striker of the soccer club and was seen as the best one by his club members. Because he grew up with many female family members, he has grown to love fancy items.

Much like Hiro Igarashi from SP!CA, Zen is a loud, bright and cheerful young man, but deep inside, he is compassionate who has a heart of gold. He is also very straightforward and confident.

Etymology

• The name Zen means "all/overall, whole, complete" (全).
• Zen's surname Iseya means "that one" (伊) (i), "force, momentum, energy, impetus, military strength, spring, bound/rebound, inertia, stimulus, impulse, instant, chance" (勢) (se) and "valley" (谷) (ya).

• Originally wanting to go down the path as a soccer player, Zen became an idol because he auditioned as an idol first.
• Zen's best subject is P.E.
• Zen's favorite food is braised pork noodle.
• Zen has a treasured handmade bear plushie which he affectionately calls as Kumakichi. His interest in making handmade plushies came from his older sister who also shares the same hobby and also because of his mother who loves plushies but is too clumsy to make for herself.
